Recently, Rahul Bose has spoken openly about the rape scene shown in the film and the actor told that before shooting the rape scene, he had said something to Tripti.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Rahul Bose talked about 'Bulbul' and discussed many scenes of the film. Rahul told that the rape scene filmed in Bulbul seemed difficult in the beginning. Before shooting the scene, he went to Tripti and told her that if she felt uncomfortable with anything during the scene, she should tell him without thinking and he would stop right there. Rahul Bose said, 'This scene was very difficult. One of the twin brothers rapes Bulbul and the other kills her. When we were about to shoot this scene, during its rehearsal, I told Tripti that her safe word was Rahul.'
How is Rahul's bonding with Tripti Dimri?
Rahul further tells about the scene where as soon as the camera rolls, he gets into his character and becomes a monster. Meanwhile, if she found anything objectionable, she should tell Rahul and I would stop right there. He had told this to Tripti before the scene. Praising Tripti, Rahul said, “She is a very strong, noble, and talented actress. We have a very good bond. It was a lot of fun working with her.”
