Durga Puja in Bangladesh: After the violence in Bangladesh, the condition of Hindus is getting worse day by day. It has been almost 1 month since the formation of Mohammad Yunus' government. Along with the new government, the morale of fundamentalist organizations has also increased. The organizations which were banned by Sheikh Hasina's government for years, have now become the biggest enemies of Bengali society. These fundamentalist organizations are now busy creating obstacles in Durga Puja, the biggest festival of Bengali society.

The minority Hindu community in Bangladesh is trying to recover from the recent violence and is busy preparing for Durga Puja. But the situation here is worrisome because fundamentalist organizations have now started taking to the streets against Durga Puja.
In different areas of Bangladesh including Dhaka, Muslim fundamentalist organizations are launching a campaign against the festival of minority Hindus, Durga Puja. In many areas of Dhaka, people of fundamentalist organizations are protesting with banners and posters in their hands, on which it is written, 'No permission will be given to block the roads in the name of worship.' Regarding Durga Puja, fundamentalist organizations say that drinking alcohol will not be allowed in temples. Apart from this, idol immersion will also not be allowed in rivers and ponds. Not only this, people of the Muslim community are marching to not allow the celebration of this festival in the public grounds where Durga Puja has been held for years. Pandals and idols are being broken in many places in Bangladesh. Temple committees are receiving anonymous threatening letters that say that if they want to celebrate Durga Puja, they will have to pay 5 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. If the money is not paid, the puja will not be allowed. These letters have been sent to the leaders of Durga Puja organizing committees. These letters warn that if these demands are not met, then serious consequences will have to be faced. Let us tell you that Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, had talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone on 16 August. During this conversation, PM Modi had requested to ensure the safety of Hindus living in Bangladesh. After which Mohammad Yunus had assured PM Modi that the safety of all Hindu minorities in Bangladesh would be given priority. Despite this, Hindus are being continuously tortured under the government of Mohammad Yunus.
Let us tell you that just a few days ago, the Bangladesh government had issued an order that Hindus will have to stop all their worship and rituals just 5 minutes before Azan and Namaz. Also, the loudspeakers and musical instruments played during Durga Puja will have to be turned off. According to a report published in Bangladesh TRIBUNE, Bangladesh Home Affairs Advisor, Lieutenant General Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury issued this order regarding Hindus on Tuesday. He also said that if any Hindu does not follow this order, he will be put in jail.
