Baba Siddique Murder Case: The investigation into the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique is going on at a fast pace. Mumbai Police official said that one more person was arrested on Sunday (20 October) in connection with Siddique's murder, taking the total number of arrests in this high-profile case to 10.
The City Crime Branch, which is investigating the Baba Siddiqui murder case, has taken the 10th accused Bhagwant Singh into custody from Belapur in Navi Mumbai. Singh is accused of providing shelter and weapons to the shooters and transporting the guns from Udaipur to Mumbai. Police say that the investigation of the case is ongoing. The accused are being questioned.

According to the allegations, Singh helped the shooters by providing them shelter and weapons. Bhagwant Singh is accused of carrying the weapon from Udaipur to Mumbai to commit the crime. The Crime Branch has sent Singh to police custody for further interrogation and investigation of his involvement in the case.
Siddiqui was shot and critically injured in the vicinity of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office in Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra area on October 12. Despite being rushed to the nearby Lilavati Hospital, the former Congress leader, who had switched over to the NCP, succumbed to his injuries sometime later.
Who is Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar?
Earlier on Saturday, the police said they had identified Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar as a key link connecting the shooters to the primary conspirators. Akhtar, who is currently wanted by the authorities, is believed to have managed around ten bank accounts and transferred money to the accounts of the suspects.
According to a police source, 'Akhtar (29) and another wanted accused from Pune, Shubham Lonkar (23) are the two masterminds in the case. Akhtar had asked Lonkar to arrange for the shooters and sent Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.' The source revealed that Akhtar allegedly transferred the money from August to early October. On October 12, Siddiqui was shot dead outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan in Bandra (East). The motive behind the murder is still unknown.
