In Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, army soldiers did such a thing which is being praised everywhere. Here some soldiers have performed the duty of a father and performed the kanyadaan of a daughter. All this happened because a soldier who had come to Mathura's Mant area on leave to get his daughter married had died in a road accident. Then later, the martyr's fellow soldiers performed the kanyadaan by performing the duty of a father.
The daughter died two days before her wedding
Mant SHO Ranjit Verma said on Sunday that Devendra Singh (48), a resident of Bakla village, was to get his daughter married on December 7. He was busy with preparations for the wedding. But two days before the wedding, Devendra died in an accident on Mant-Raya road. Devendra's relative Narendra said that the father's death just two days before the daughter's wedding created chaos in the entire house and preparations were halted midway.
The soldiers became fathers and gave away their daughters in marriage.
Narendrsaidld that the family members were thinking about who would give away the daughter in marriage. Meanwhile, when Devendra's Jat battalion colleagues came to know about his death, their commanding officer sent five soldiers to Bakla village to give away the daughter in marriage. Narendra said that Devendra's fellow soldiers Subedar Sonveer Singh, Subedar Mukesh Kumar, Havildar Premveer, Vinod, and Betal Singh reached the village and gave away the daughter in marriage in the capacity of the father. They also helped in arranging the marriage.
In Haryana too, CRPF soldiers performed the duty of a father
