Manipur Encounter News: Security forces have achieved a major success against the militants in Manipur. Here in Jiribam district, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel killed 11 militants in an encounter. At the same time, two CRPF jawans are said to be seriously injured. News agency 'NNI' has quoted sources as saying that on Monday afternoon, militants attacked the CRPF camp at Borobakera in Jiribam. In retaliation, security forces also attacked, in which 11 militants were killed.

The militants were about to attack the relief camp as well.

There is a relief camp for displaced people near the CRPF camp in Borobakera. Sources say that the attackers were planning to target the camp as well. According to the plan, the militants first targeted the CRPF camp, and then were preparing to attack the relief camp. Meanwhile, the security forces became active and an encounter started here. During this, 11 suspected terrorists were killed, while two soldiers were also injured.

Militants set several houses on fire.

It is being told that the militants also set fire to three to four houses in Jakuradhor which comes under Borobakera police station. After the encounter, CRPF, Assam Rifles, and state forces were deployed at this police station.

Firing and bomb attack in Imphal

Earlier on Sunday, armed men opened fire and carried out several bomb attacks in parts of Lamlai assembly constituency in Imphal East district. Officials said that the army, Border Security Force, and police retaliated. Due to this heavy firing was seen in Sansabi, Sabungkhok Khuno. He said that due to the firing from the hilly areas to the lower areas of Sansabi, the farmers are not able to take care of their fields. After the incident, an atmosphere of tension prevailed in the villages.
