CM Atishi Marlena: In a statement issued by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor's Office on Saturday, it has been alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government was involved in the most 'devious and malicious act' to mislead the people by disregarding the rules and procedures and hiding facts regarding the allotment of 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow. A day after the bungalow was allotted to Chief Minister Atishi, the Lieutenant Governor's Office accused her of being involved in this exercise. There is a dispute between AAP, BJP, and the Lieutenant Governor's Office regarding vacating and fresh allotment of the bungalow in which Arvind Kejriwal lived for nine years as the Chief Minister of Delhi.

Saddened by the statement of the LG office

The statement of the Lieutenant Governor's Office alleged, 'Within about 48 hours of Kejriwal handing over the keys of the bungalow and allotment to Atishi, AAP, ministers, and even the Chief Minister did the most devious and malicious act of misleading the people of Delhi and the entire country by twisting the rules and procedures, hiding facts in this regard and constantly criticizing the Lieutenant Governor. ' At the same time, sources in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) of Delhi said, 'It is sad to see the statement of the Lieutenant Governor's Office, which is full of abusive words and allegations on the government elected by the people.'

Was the Lieutenant Governor 'mistreated'?

He said, 'The AAP government is busy working on a war footing to resume all the work stopped by the Lieutenant Governor in the last few months. These comments of the Lieutenant Governor are not really worth responding to.' The Delhi Secretariat claimed that the Lieutenant Governor was "mistreated". The AAP government, Delhi government ministers, and party leaders have alleged that at the behest of the BJP, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena forced Atishi to vacate the bungalow. The Lieutenant Governor Secretariat said that Atishi, who had claimed that she would work from the road after vacating the Flagstaff Road bungalow, 'forgot' to tell the people of Delhi that she already has a 17-AB bungalow on Mathura Road.

Seven Star Office

The statement alleged that the seven-star office renovated at the cost of crores of rupees in the Delhi Secretariat is also available for her to work and she need not pretend. The Lt Governor's office also said that the building plan of the Flagstaff Road bungalow has not been approved by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) yet and due to this, the completion certificate has also not been issued. "Therefore, this residence is still an illegal structure," it claimed.

BJP had called the bungalow 'Sheeshmahal'

The BJP termed the bungalow as 'Sheeshmahal' and launched a campaign against Kejriwal, alleging that 'irregularities' were committed in its construction during the Covid pandemic and very expensive materials were used in its decoration. In the wake of the controversy, the Lieutenant Governor's office alleged that Delhi has the worst civic infrastructure and services due to the 'misgovernance' of the AAP government for the last 10 years. The Lieutenant Governor's office said, 'If he had ruled and worked for the purpose for which he was elected even for two years out of 10 years, the situation in Delhi would have been much better and he would not have blamed everyone for his gross failures and would not have abused the Lieutenant Governor.'
