Jharkhand News Today: After JMM's spectacular victory in the assembly elections, Hemant Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Hemant Soren at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. Former Jharkhand CM and Hemant Soren's father Shibu Soren was also present at the swearing-in ceremony. Many records have been registered in Hemant Soren's name as soon as he took oath as the Chief Minister. Hemant Soren (Hemant Soren News) has become the first politician to take oath as CM four times in the 24-year history of the state. Before this, his father Shibu Soren, and Arjun Munda of Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) have sat on the CM's chair three times each.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and MP Pappu Yadav were also present at Hemant Soren's swearing-in ceremony.
He became CM for the first time in 2013
Hemant Soren was sworn in as Chief Minister for the first time on 13 July 2013 in a government formed with the support of JMM , Congress, and RJD alliance. The tenure of this government was till 23 December 2014. He was sworn in for the second time on 29 December 2019. He had to resign from the post of Chief Minister after being arrested by ED on 31 January 2024. After coming out on bail, he was sworn in as CM for the third time on 4 July 2024. Hemant Soren's name is being recorded as the first CM of Jharkhand who has returned to the government for the second consecutive time.
No government has been repeated before
Before this, no government has been repeated here. Hemant Soren has become the first Chief Minister to form a government with a 2/3rd majority in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly. The coalition led by him has won 56 seats. Arjun Munda holds the record of sitting on the CM's chair for the longest period of 2210 days in Jharkhand. After him, Hemant Soren has spent 2169 days as CM so far.
Another record will be registered after 40 days.
As soon as he completes 40 days as CM in his fourth term, he will become the leader who has held this chair for the longest time. A record is also being made in the name of Hemant Soren in the sense that he is the first CM of the state whose wife Kalpana Soren, as an MLA, will vote in favour of the government during the trust vote in the assembly.
