Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Preparations have begun for the assembly elections to be held in the country's capital Delhi in February next year. Arvind Kejriwal, the head of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), started the 'Rewadi Par Charcha' program on Friday. During this, Kejriwal attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by referring to 6 Revdis and told the public the disadvantages of voting for the BJP. He said that we have given six free 'Rewadis' to the people of Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said on many platforms and many times that Kejriwal is distributing free Revdis in Delhi. This should be stopped. The people of Delhi should tell us whether they want these free Revdis or not.
'If BJP comes, all facilities will be stopped'
He said that if the BJP came here, it would stop these six facilities. BJP is in power in 20 states of the country. None of these 20 states has any of the freebies that we are giving in Delhi. If they are not there in these states, then they won't give them in Delhi either. During this, Arvind Kejriwal counted six freebies. He said that the first one is free electricity in Delhi and that too for 24 hours without any power cut. Earlier, when there was a Congress government in Delhi, there used to be power cuts for 8 to 10 hours daily. After our government came to power, we have provided 24-hour electricity here. There are no power cuts in Delhi now. They have governments in 20 states, but cannot provide 224-hour electricity in even one state.
'We know how to provide electricity 24 hours a day'
The AAP convenor further targeted the BJP and said that they have been in power in Gujarat for 30 years. Even in 30 years, they have not been able to provide 24-hour electricity there. We know how to provide 24-hour electricity. If you do not vote for the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and vote for the BJP, then there will be 8 to 10 hours of power cuts in Delhi as well. Before pressing the lotus button, think whether you are pressing the button for long power cuts, otherwise press the broom button. Call Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh and see how many hours of power cuts are there. Our government has provided 24-hour electricity in Delhi. Delhi and Punjab are two states in the country where the Aam Aadmi Party is in power and has given free electricity.
'20 thousand liters of free water
Kejriwal said that the second freebie is free water. In Delhi, we give 20 thousand liters of free water to every family. Water is not free in any of their (BJP) 20 states. When I went to jail, they secretly sent the wrong water bills of thousands of rupees to many people. If the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Delhi, we will forgive all your wrong bills and zero bills will start coming again.
Good education and mohalla clinics
He said that the third freebie is free education, good and excellent free education. We have built good and excellent schools in Delhi. Today children from government schools in Delhi are becoming engineers and doctors. If you vote for them, then their future will be ruined. Kejriwal said that the fourth is mohalla clinics. Today, excellent mohalla clinics and government hospitals have been built in Delhi, where treatment and medicines are available for free.
There are no good government hospitals in any of their 20 states. All are in a dilapidated condition. If you vote for them again, all the government hospitals will be ruined. He counted free bus travel for women as the fifth sweet. He said that BJP has always been demanding that their free bus travel should be ended. Apart from this, Kejriwal counted free pilgrimage for the elderly as the sixth sweet.
'If BJP comes, everything will be shut down'
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi reacted to Arvind Kejriwal's six freebies by tweeting. She wrote, 'Arvind Kejriwal's freebies are: 24 hours free electricity, free water, good and excellent free education, excellent mohalla clinics and government hospitals, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly. Arvind Kejriwal has spent the public's tax money on the public instead of keeping it in his pocket. But, if BJP comes to power, all this will stop, so to save their freebies, the people of Delhi will have to once again make Arvind Kejriwal their Chief Minister.'
