Delhi-NCR Pollution: The skies of the national capital Delhi and NCR have been covered with toxic smog since Diwali. As the pollution in Delhi reached the severe category, strict rules of Grape-4 were implemented last Tuesday, although no significant effect was seen. Recently, a survey report of local circles has made horrific claims, due to which you will be scared to even step out of the house in this pollution. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 424 (severe category) on Wednesday, and a thick blanket of smog-filled with toxic pollutants remained in the skies of Delhi throughout the day.
This claim was made in the report of Local Circles.
Meanwhile, the survey of Local Circles has scared everyone. According to the report, one or more members of 75 percent of the families in Delhi-NCR are facing pollution-related health problems. Such people have a sore throat or cough problem. Due to the increasing level of pollution, someone in 58 percent of the families have a headache problem, while due to toxic air quality, someone in 50 percent of the families have asthma or difficulty in breathing. The report shows that within a month, the number of families in which one member is suffering from any pollution-related disease has doubled.
People made a plan to avoid pollution.
The air quality levels in Delhi-NCR may be poor or persistent, but that also means that resident families are trying to minimize its negative impact on their health. The LocalCircles survey report states that at least 27 percent of families said they use air purifiers, try to stay indoors, and eat nutritious food and drink juices to combat the highly toxic effects of pollution. Just as many senior citizens move to places with warmer temperatures during the winter season, many families (16 percenthas) indicated that they are already traveling or planning to shift to an outlying location for some or most of the month.
