The survey was being conducted in the presence of both the parties at Jama Masjid in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday (24 November). During this, some protesters pelted stones at the police in protest against the survey. The police used tear gas to control the situation.

Let us tell you that Vishnu Shankar Jain had filed a petition in the Civil Judge's court of Sambhal claiming that there was a temple at the place of the mosque. After this, a similar survey was being conducted in the presence of local police and members of the mosque's management committee. During this, some people outside the mosque protested against it and started pelting stones. In this case, the police have also taken several protesters into custody.

The accused will not be spared

Regarding the matter, Sambhal DM Rajendra Pansia said, 'The survey has been completed and we have safely sent the survey team to their place. The situation is under control. Strict action will be taken against all the mischievous elements and no one will be spared.'
